What Is Wrong With My 1996 Ford 575d 4×4 Backhoe?

I have a1996 Ford Backhoe 575D 4X4 some times my machine will not go into gear either forward or reverse. My machine is in mint condition with low hours. It just sometimes doent go into gear. I assume it is electrical because it works perfect when it does work. any thoughts

    I would try the electrical connection at all the sensors, if you have a hydraulic clutch try and pump it and if it works better then you may have a leak there at the clutch master or slave cylinder needing seals, without inspecting it that’s a hard question to answer but I hope this helps Good Luck and GOD Bless

    sounds like your power shuttle selector valve is sticking…..or it could be loose wires/conection /switch. It is the electro valve on the side of the transmission…
