I Want To Know What The Best Way Is To Take The Backhoe Off My Hough Model Hf?

This is assuming you’re referring to the bucket itself, and not the arms and/or rams as well.
The exact procedure varies a bit for each type or make of equipment, but this works on Case, IH, IR and Kobelco, just to name a few.
First extend the stabilizers, then extend the arm a bit as if you’re going to lube it, and make sure the bucket is just barely resting on the ground. Place a wooden block on either side of the rounded curve of the bucket. Watch you feet so you don’t crush them.
Look towards the top of the bucket for some long pings about an inch or better in diameter that may or may not have fittings for applying grease. On one end of the pin should be a cotter pin. Straighten the pin as much as possible, and remove it with a pair of pliers.
Get a large hammer or a small sledge and a pin equal or smaller in size than the pin you’re going to remove. Place the two pins in-line and start hitting them much the same way you would a hammer & chisel. You may also want a pinbar or long punch handy, as the hole and/or pin may come out of “alignment” which is normal.
The pin may or may not come out straightaway, but it will eventually. Grease the hole prior to replacing the pin. Unless the cotter pin rather worn, you can use it again.
